Environmental and development issues are interconnected, and at the NNF, our goal is to integrate
diverse sectors across Namibia’s environmental landscape. We drive this integration through an
ecosystem approach and integrated solutions.
NNF is organised into eight programmatic areas, including agriculture, freshwater and inland fisheries, forestry, and marine and coastal conservation. Our efforts focus on creating productive
and healthy land, sea, and river ecosystems. Our Community-Based Organisation (CBO) strengthening program empowers local communities to manage their resources effectively and secure their rights. We also address critical threats by monitoring emerging issues and supporting
initiatives to combat wildlife crime, mitigate human-wildlife conflict, and raise awareness about pollution.
Additionally, our Technical Services and Policy programme fosters synergies and identifies new
opportunities. Each programmatic area targets local environmental challenges, contributing to
broader global issues.
