Enhancing the capacity of community-based organisations to manage wildlife, forest, and fish resources.

CBO Strengthening

Community-Based Natural Resource Management (CBNRM) is a people-centred conservation approach that empowers local communities to oversee the management of plants, animals, and ecosystems, fostering local benefits and driving sustainable development. Recognising communities as the stewards of biodiversity, CBNRM integrates their rights and responsibilities with support from government ministries and NGOs.
The NNF envisions a collaborative environment where Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and Community-Based Organisations (CBOs) partner equally with local communities to advance conservation and sustainable development goals, with communities leading the charge.
