KAZA Arise Cookbook

Rooted in Namibia’s Zambezi Region, this community-inspired cookbook celebrates local flavours, traditions and sustainable living.  Developed under the Food Security and Habitat Protection in KAZA Project, it brings together recipes from cooking clubs that promote agrocology, nutrition and the use of home-grown ingredients.  

Featuring easy, affordable dishes, from moringa leaves to marula oil, the cookbook blends indigenous knowledge with practical cooking and preservation tips.  It is a celebration of food, culture and community resilience across Namibia’s KAZA landscape.

Namibia’s Ocean Literacy Toolkit

This educational toolkit dives into Namibia’s connection to the sea, bridging science, culture, and community through the lens of UNESCO’s Seven Principles of Ocean Literacy. Co-developed under the NIMPA+ Project by the Namibia Nature Foundation and the Blue Marine Foundation, it offers a locally grounded guide to understanding how the ocean shapes our lives and livelihoods.

Chondrichthyans of Namibia

We’ve created a poster that shows all of the chondrichthyan (shark, skate, and ray) species in Namibia that are classified as either Critically Endangered or Endangered, on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. Of the 88 shark, skate, ray, and ghost shark species that occur in Namibian waters, these 17 species are at the highest risk of extinction globally. Beautiful illustrations by Alexis Aronson.

World Rhino Day Mask Activity

World Rhino Day is celebrated on September 22 every year. This special day provides the opportunity for cause-related organizations such as NGOs, the government, conservancy members and members of the public to celebrate rhinos in Namibia. This year, we are including children from different schools in Namibia to join the celebrations by participating in an exciting fun-filled activity! This purpose of this activity is to instil appreciation for rhinos in Namibia and why they are important, especially for future generations. Download activity
